The New Year decoration of the city has just started. This year, the city will be decorated with last year’s lights and design solutions.
Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan informs that the community hasn’t had any expenditures on the festive decorations. He stressed that the property purchased las year was anticipated for the following years as it can be used more than once.
The decoration activities are carried out by a private company. The decoration of Republic square and the Main New Year Tree will be the same as last year. Technical maintenance will be somewhat different. The company claims that the process will have minimal impact on the surroundings. The Vice Mayor also stressed that the company renovated all holes in the walls of the buildings which appeared during the decoration activities of last year. Festive decorations, though more modest than in the city centre will be provided in other districts as well.
Christmas market will be opened as usual. The festive illumination will be turned on after December 10. Most decoration activities will be carried out at night hours so as not to cause inconveniences.
Suren Grigoryan stressed that Christmas holidays are usually looked forward to by children, so it is important to create a festive mood for them, particularly for the kids from Artsakh who really need more joy in their lives.
