"More than 130 reconstructed courtyards in Yerevan in 2025. The renovation works are unprecedented in scope" - Mayor Tigran Avinyan
By the end of 2025, over 130 courtyards will have been renovated in Yerevan. In 2024, approximately 130 additional courtyards were reconstructed, replacing garages and fenced areas with comfortable, accessible spaces. The heads of the administrative districts of Yerevan presented the progress of the current year's work during the regular working meeting.
"The reconstruction of dozens of these courtyards, along with the new football fields, is, in fact, the most crucial component of our programs. Through these initiatives, we are revitalizing the environment in our courtyards, and in some cases, creating it entirely from scratch. These programs provide children with dedicated playgrounds and football fields while establishing comfortable, well-maintained, and open to the public areas. These projects are unprecedented in their scale and number. Since 2022, we have continued constructing courtyards across Yerevan with the same persistence, which means hundreds of courtyards are constructed annually. These renovations will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on our urban environment and, we hope, on the future of football in our country," stated the Mayor.
