Council of Elders Decides That Parking in Zones “A” and “B” Will Be Free of Charge on Sundays
Considering that on Sundays the traffic in the centre of Yerevan is significantly less heavy than on weekdays, Yerevan Council of Elders decided at today’s meeting to make parking at paid parking facilities in “A” and “B” zones free of charge on Sundays.

Another decision of the Council related to giving privilege in local duties for construction permits for new buildings, constructions, and main buildings in Yerevan to the construction developing companies in accordance with the architectural-construction design. Thus, this year they have no payment for construction permits. 90% privilege was allotted for construction permit extension.

The Council also set a privilege for negotiation and renegotiation of architectural and construction design of residential buildings and constructions. Thus, the tariffs for local duties in 2024 are not to be paid, either.

The Council of Elders also decided to terminate the powers of the Council members Hayk Marutyan (“National Progress” faction), Narine Hayrapetyan and Sonna Aghekyan (“Mother Armenia” faction) for their absence from more than half of the Council meetings and votes without any good reason.
