Yerevan’s Budget, Development Program, Local Taxes and Fees to Be Discussed at the Upcoming Session of the Council of Elders
Draft decisions of the Council of Elders concerning the city’s 2026 budget, annual development program, local taxes and fees, and related exemptions were open for public discussion from November 17 to December 2.
The meeting of the Council on the five-year urban development program and the annual budget was chaired by Deputy Mayor Levon Hovhannisyan. Summarizing the discussion, it was noted that citizens and representatives of non-governmental organizations participated in the public hearing held on November 27 at Yerevan Municipality and raised a number of questions regarding the proposed draft decisions.
Council members emphasized the importance of public participation and offered suggestions aimed at making future public consultations more active and inclusive.
Following the discussion, the issues on the agenda were put to a vote, and it was unanimously agreed to submit all the draft decisions to the Council of Elders for further consideration.
