A working discussion related to hazardous waste management was held in the City Hall with the representatives of “Sweco International Ab” (Sweco) company. The representatives of the Municipality departments of development and investment programs, nature protection, “Landscaping” PNCO as well as the working group for the implementation of Capital Cities Collaborating on Common Challenges in Hazardous Waste Management - Yerevan, Warsaw, Tirana" Project participated in the meeting.
“Sweco International AB” company was assigned by the Asian Development Bank to show support the Ministry of Environment in the improvement of hazardous waste management in Armenia.To improve the legal, technical, and other aspects of the system and to find clear solutions to them the “Sweco” will stay in Armenia for 17 months.  The framework involves collection, storage and recycling of primary hazardous wastes, coordination of interested parties, data collection and other directions.
 The Municipality presented the main priorities of the sphere. The parties also discussed the details of the program of cooperation with Warsaw, Tirana and Ile de France.
