During the working meeting in the City Hall Mayor Taron Margaryan assigned the Chief Architect of Yerevan Tigran Barseghyan, Mayor’s Advisor Vahagn Vermishyan, Chief Designer Garnik Amatunyan, the departments of External Design and Advertising and Architecture and Urban Development, as well as “Yerevanproject” CJSC to study the international experience and cooperate with specialized organizations so as to initiate the activities for working out the guidelines for external look and convenient city environment of Yerevan.
“We expect to have a document in which besides the professionally specified conceptual approaches for having a beautiful and convenient city environment there will be outlined the changes which are necessary make in each street to make the capital more comfortable.The clear regulations for placement of all architectural and external look components as well as city property must be included in the guidelines. If necessary involve in the activities the organization with corresponding experience and the representatives of the commission for working out and implementation of “Yerevan-smart city” program. I am sure that on condition of having such a guidelines we will be able to provide a more comfortable and available environment, said Taron Margaryan.
