The Yerevan Stage of the 2026 “Prime Minister’s Cup” School Team Cross-Country Race Took Place
To promote a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren and raise awareness of various sports, annual sports competitions, including cross-country running events, are organized for students of schools across Armenia.
On May 12, the Yerevan stage of the 2026 “Prime Minister’s Cup” School Team Cross-Country running competition took place in the capital.
The winner of the first stage of the competition was Basic School No. 11 named after Monte Melkonyan (Malatia-Sebastia administrative district). The “Armenian-Chinese Friendship School” Foundation and Basic School No. 31 (Shengavit administrative district) took second and third place, respectively.
The final stage of the competition will be held on May 29–30 in the area adjacent to Lake Parz in Dilijan, Tavush Region. The team from Basic School No. 11 named after Monte Melkonyan, which won at the Yerevan stage, will also compete in the final round.
