XX Republican Parasport Festival of Armenia was held
The XX Republican Parasport Festival of Armenia was held at the Yerevan Sports College of Olympic Reserve on July 23-24. The event was held with the support of Yerevan Municipality in cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the French Embassy in Armenia and the Yerevan Sports College of Olympic Reserve.
About 120 athletes from different regions of Armenia competed for the title of champion. The competitions were held in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair racing, chess, bocce, weightlifting, table tennis and Showdown. Refugees from the NKR participated as well and got prizes. The winners were awarded cash prizes. The initiative will be an excellent incentive for the participants of the event to continue doing sports and strive for even greater achievements.
