During the regular weekly working conference in the City Hall Mayor Taron Margaryan referred to the problem of incomplete constructions and the areas where urban development projects had been provided for but not started yet. The Chief Architect of Yerevan, the Municipality departments of urban development and land control, of architecture and urban development as well as legal department were instructed by the Mayor to study and inventory the mentioned above areas and constructions and to take appropriate steps.
“Study the areas one by one, inventory them and take steps determined by law in this direction. Send corresponding notifications to the owners and leasers of the areas and if necessary apply to the court so as to return the areas to the community judicially. As regards incomplete constructions you should come up with the requirement of alienation. We must be strict and consistent particularly taking into account that recently all the developers were given privileges and possibilities to fulfil the construction. Therefore it’s inacceptable to put up with such pictures in the city any longer. The developer should know that if he breaks the law he will be disciplined”, said Taron Margaryan.
