Result of competition for school works dedicated to I. Ayvazovski’s 200th jubilee are summarized
By the initiative of Yerevan Municipality Department of General Education, within the scope of jubilee events dedicated to Ivan Ayvazovski’s 200th birthday anniversary the exhibition-competition of school paintings was held in the National Gallery of Armenia.
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan who was present at the event congratulated the pupils and stressed the importance of aesthetic education and increasing of interest in arts particularly in the works of art by Ayvazovski.
According to the results of school and city stages of the competition the first three works have been awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s honorary diplomas and with the illustrated book “Ayvazovski”. The works by 18 other pupils were also appreciated and got honorary diplomas and encouraging presents.
At the end of the event the schoolchildren watched the exhibition dedicated to the 200th birthday anniversary of I.Ayvazovski.
