“Yerevan Sound” music festival was taken place in Yerevan

The results of the 8th competition-festival of musical and art schools of Yerevan were summarized in the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiaryan. The competition was held within the frames of the three-month program “Yerevan summer 2015”.

The best 10 schools were awarded with honorary diplomas of Yerevan Mayor, and the three schools recognized best got symbolic statues and monetary prizes.

The first honorable place was awarded to music school after Aleksandr Spendiaryan, the 2-nd place- music and art school after Khazaros Saryan, and the 3-rd place – music school after Sayat-Nova.

The head of the Culture and Tourism Department of Yerevan Municipality handed the prizes and certificates for the best three schools.

The music schools after Armen Tigranyan, Konstantin Sarajyan, Stepan Jrbashyan, the art schools after Avet Terteryan, Barsegh Kanachyan, Miqayel Maluncyan were included and got prizes for 4 up to 10 places. The list of the best 10 music and art schools of 2015 of Yerevan brought to the end the music school after Tigran Chukhajyan.
In the nomination “Talent of the Year” the pupil of the music school after Al. Spendiaryan Meri Musinyan was awarded / she was nominated for the playing on music instrument qanun/.
“Yerevan sound” festival was held in the following 10 nominations: piano, string instrument, percussion instrument, national instrument, solo performance, choir performance, ensemble of national instruments,classic ensemble, solfeggio- dictation and music literature. 

About 2000 pupils of all the 25 musical and art schools of Yerevan Municipality took part in the hearings of the competition held from May 11 up to 24.
The professional jury consisted of the famous Armenian musicians, headed by the professor of Yerevan State Conservatory Sergey Sarajyan, estimated the participants.

The gala-concert of the festival was finished with the performance of the anthem of Erebuni-Yerevan.
