Yerevan Kindergarten N81 Completely Reconstructed
Kindergarten N81 in Malatia-Sebastia district of Yerevan is another preschool renovated within the frames of Yerevan Energy Efficiency Program. The renovation which lasted one year and a half involved seismic fortification of the building, thermal-insulation, and full renovation. Systems of water supply and discharge, as well as communication cables have been replaced with new ones. The premises have been provided with new furniture suitable for kids. Solar panels have been installed on the roof to provide permanent hot water.
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan, the EU Ambassador to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin, head of EIB Regional Representation for South Caucasus Maciej Czura, UNDP Resident Representative Natia Natsvlishvili, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Armenia Petr Piruncik, representatives of the municipality and the administrative district visited the preschool to get to know with the conditions provided.
After the renovation all conveniences and security are provided for kids. Besides, the number of groups has increased.
Yerevan Energy Efficiency Program is implemented by means of the EIB loan means and the grant allotted by E5P the largest donor of which is the EU. A separate grant was received from the “Green Climate” fund via UNDP. The program is also financed from the community budget.
