Concessions for waste disposal fees for certain groups: Yerevan Council of Elders approves draft decision
At today’s session, Yerevan Council of Elders approved the draft decision to establish concessions in several directions regarding waste disposal fees.
Thanks to the method for calculating waste disposal fee rates in residential buildings and constructions, certain groups of individuals, as well as owners of residential buildings and structures with larger areas consuming up to 10 kilowatts of electricity per month, will receive concessions applying zero fee rates to alleviate the additional financial burden.
David Hakobyan, Acting Head of the Revenue Accounting and Collection Department of Yerevan Municipality, who presented the draft decision, added that since apartments with an area of up to 90 square meters constitute about 90% of the total housing stock, it can be concluded that for around 90% of apartment owners, the waste disposal fee will range between 300 and 1000 AMD, and for individual residential houses, an average of 500 to 1300 AMD.
