As part of the ongoing program of building special parks designated for pets in Yerevan, the 8th pet-friendly park has now opened in the capital. To organize dog walking in Erebuni district, the Lyon Park—located by the lake—was selected.

Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan, who is currently in Lyon, met with his counterpart, Mayor Grégory Doucet. Welcoming the members of the Yerevan delegation, the Mayor of Lyon stated that this visit will create new opportunities to implement joint projects.

From April 13 to 19, Yerevan will host the Ice Hockey World Championship Division IV. During the press conference, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, and the Secretary General of the Ice Hockey Federation of Armenia Aram Sargsyan discussed the details of the sport event.

Yard improvement activities are underway in all administrative districts of Yerevan. Illegally constructed garages are being dismantled, and yard spaces are being expanded. In particular, in Arabkir administrative district, around 10 garages are being removed at 10 Nikoghayos Tigranyan Street.

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Alessandro Ferranti. Congratulating the Ambassador on the occasion of assuming his diplomatic mission in Armenia, Mayor Avinyan wished him success in this responsible endeavor.

The recipients of first category diplomas in the city stage of the Schoolchildren’s Olympiad  of 2024-2025 academic year were honored with awards from the Mayor of Yerevan. Diplomas and gift cards for bookstores were handed out to 57 schoolchildren from Yerevan.

Last week, the ticketing system recorded a total of 2,439,525 validations: 92,151 in trolleybuses, 509,514 in the metro, and 1,837,860 in buses. Compared to the previous report, this number has increased by 43,000.

The First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Armen Pambukhchyan, hosted the Paralympic Games champion athletes, their coaches, and supporters. The meeting was also attended by  H.E. Mr. Olivier Décottignies, the  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Armenia.

The final gala concert of the "Artist for School" project took place at the "Aram Khachatryan" Concert Hall. The renowned cellist, Honored Artist of Armenia, Narek Hakhnazaryan, was on stage with the students of municipal music and art schools.

The "Yerevan" Medical Center has been renovated and modernized. The center now has post-operative rooms, a reanimation and intensive care department. The medical center is equipped with the latest medical devices.

The municipal "Sanitary Cleaning and Waste Removal" company has been provided with 12 new "Kärcher" multifunctional cleaning machines designed for cleaning streets and sidewalks, as well as winter maintenance. These machines provide sanitary cleaning and, during winter, are also suitable for removing snow and treating roads with salt and sand.
