After 70 years without renovation, the ‘Yerevan’ Medical Center has undergone major reconstruction, emerging as a new-generation healthcare institution.

The ‘Yerevan’ Medical Center, operating under the administration of the Yerevan Municipality, was renovated and re-equipped in 2023–2024. Since its construction in the 1950s, the building had never received an extensive renovation. Currently, approximately 2,500 square meters of the center’s area have been modernized to meet European standards. Renovation work is still in progress at the newly established Endocardiovascular Surgery and Diagnostics Center.

Equipment Acquired:

In 2024, an angiograph and 20 patient monitors were purchased with funds from the community budget.

In 2025, an excimer laser with the SMILE system was acquired through leasing. The availability of these lasers, along with an advanced diagnostic system, allows doctors to apply the most modern surgical methods for treating corneal refractive disorders.

The OEC 3D system was also acquired through leasing. It is used in trauma, orthopedic, vascular, and urological surgeries.

New departments have been opened at the hospital over the past two years.

Due to improvements in material and technical support, drug supply, and the professional qualifications of medical personnel, the number of patients seeking treatment at the medical center’s departments has doubled—from 20,000 to over 40,000.
