Our goal is to serve you, our goal is to make our city more accessible and comfortable for you.
All the reforms we have initiated are aimed at this, especially the reform of the transport system. Since this reform is based on your interest, we listen to you. I have reviewed many requests, read your numerous letters and comments.
Together, we have already gone a long way to create a new transport system.
There are no more old, worn-out minibuses and buses in Yerevan that were a real menace to passengers' safety. Since November 1, we have excluded the possibility of paying fares to drivers in cash, and since January 1, we have excluded any cash fares inside the transport. I can claim with confidence that the money you pay is not wasted but serves to improve the transport system.
Taking into account thousands of calls, complaints and suggestions received from you, as a result of discussions with the "Civil Contract" and "Republic" factions, as well as some members of the opposition wing of the Council of Elders, we have decided to introduce a new transport tariff of 150 drams per trip from February 1. This change will be in effect throughout 2025.
Our goal is to create a ticket system that is convenient and accessible to everyone on the one hand, and on the other hand will make it possible to solve the problems of long waits at bus stops, traffic jams, constant renewal of the bus fleet, the formation of new bus stops and other problems.
The proposed 150 drams per trip can change by a maximum of 10 drams per year only as a result of ongoing reforms.
At the same time, since we want you to test the ticketing system, see how convenient it is and inform us of any problems with it, we plan to extend the validity of the unlimited packages purchased in January and February for another month.
This means that if you purchased a monthly package between January and February, it will be valid for two months. If you have bought a three-month or an annual package, you will get an additional month.
With the unlimited package, you will no longer have to wait for just one specific bus. This package allows you to easily and quickly reach your destination using several means of transport.
