From June 30 to July 1, the Dinamo Sports Complex will host the Yerevan Open Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship. The international memorial tournament dedicated to the distinguished athlete Benur Pashayan is organized by the Department of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Yerevan Municipality, in cooperation with the Wrestling Federation of Armenia.

Yerevan continues to implement initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity and enhancing social services. As part of the second phase of the social taxi service program, Gevorg Gharibyan, Head of the Department of Children and Social Protection of the Yerevan Municipality, met with representatives of stakeholder organizations.

The statue of Vahagn Vishapakagh (Vahagn the Dragon-Slayer), created by sculptor Karlen Nurijanyan, has been relocated to the square adjacent to the Yerevan Municipality. Erected in 1968, the 3.5-meter-tall monument has occupied several locations over the years. Since 2004, it has been located in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, near the bridge on the Yerevan–Ejmiatsin highway.  

Yerevan continues to build dedicated dog parks across the city. Another fenced dog park has opened in the Nazarbekyan district of the Ajapnyak administrative district, equipped with all the necessary facilities for dogs. 

By a decision of the Yerevan Council of Elders, the 45 newly procured trolleybuses were transferred to the ownership of “Yerevan Electric Transport” CJSC. The new vehicles allow for the complete modernization of the transport depot. The rolling stock acquired in recent years, a total of 75 new trolleybuses, has made it possible to extend services to parts of the capital not covered by overhead contact networks, providing residents with comfortable travel conditions and high-quality service.

Renovation work on the Kievyan Bridge is officially underway. The project includes the rehabilitation of the bridge’s roadway and pedestrian sections, replacement of expansion joints and drainage systems, waterproofing works, restoration of the bridge’s spans and supports, as well as the implementation of safety and traffic management measures.

At the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, an overhaul has begun on the 2.3-kilometre road connecting Gyurjyan Street and Myasnikyan Avenue in the Nor Nork administrative district. This project represents a shift toward a more integrated approach to urban infrastructure. During the road overhaul, underground utilities and all engineering networks are being fully upgraded and expanded. Overhead utility lines are being relocated underground.

Having been neglected for years, the area adjacent to the Music School named after M. Mirzoyan and Basic School No. 188 in Yerevan has been completely transformed. Initiated by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, the site has been rebuilt into a modern, open-air cultural venue named “Arev Arena”.
