All administrative districts of Yerevan already have special containers for waste sorting. Paper, plastic, glass - household waste is recycled and gets a second life.
The city authorities cooperate with several international organizations in the waste management reform program. The "Green Green" team organizes clean-up days in different districts of Yerevan, showing residents how to sort waste.
The number of residents joining the initiative is increasing from year to year. However, for a proper and complete organization of waste sorting, the city needs more potential and more active support.
Each of us can significantly reduce the amount of waste taken to the landfill and contribute to the creation of a green and clean Yerevan.
