The Yerevan Zoological Garden traditionally opens its doors on May 1 with an event involving a concert, developing games, theatrical performances and cartoon characters to amuse kids. Hundreds of children take part in this traditional opening ceremony. As usual the Zoo has come up with some novelties. Besides some new inhabitants, the Zoo has expanded the enclosures and green areas. The free bus itinerary taking visitors to the Zoo at weekends and festive days has been put into operation as well.
